Heroes for Dungeonquest: Ironhand the Mighty, Gladiator

Last one! May I present, Ironhand the Mighty:

This guy painted up fairly quickly as well. Nothing particular to this figure that I haven't spoken about in a previous post. Another great figure, though. Just after I finished him I scored another copy of this figure sans mace. This makes it that much easier for me to justify converting it to be a chaos thug. Anyone know fore sure who sculpted him? Goodwin, right?

Stay tuned for Talisman figures coming up soon!

  1. Not sure who sculpted him...Jes sounds like a maybe though? Not sure, there's something about him that doesn't scream Jes. Anyway, he looks great, cool skin tone!

    1. Yeah, my guess is Jess but usually I'm sure and I'm not sure here. Face is not unlike his ogres and uruk hai, though, and seems less like the other usual suspects, the Perrys and Morrison.

  2. Fantastic shading on the skin tone. I love the contrast between the dark armour and light skin tone.

  4. Great paintjob, loved how you did the chin with a grey hue giving the idea of old shaving.

    1. Thanks! I find a five-o-clock shadow a pretty easy trick. I mix gray and matte medium so the layer is fairly transparent, and then paint over the finished flesh color as a last step in a few light layers.
